CHICAGO– Abortion rights and women’s healthcare privacy has been under attack since Roe v Wade was overturned due in part to the Donald Trump-appointees on the Supreme Court. Comedian Lizz Winstead has found a way to fight back … creating road trip comedy events and aid to the clinics under siege. Documentary director Ruth Leitman chronicles Winstead’s activities in “No One Asked You,” which will screen thrice at FACETS Chicago. For tickets and more information, CLICKHERE.
This six-year road film follows comedian and disruptor-extraordinaire Lizz Winstead (co-creator of “The Daily Show”) and the organization Abortion Access Front as they crisscross the U.S. to support abortion clinic staff and combat stigma. Fueled by pop culture icons and next-gen comics, the film activates small-town communities to rebuild vandalized clinics and exposes the dangers of wrongdoer politicians, anti-abortion extremists, and media neglect.
